How to Use Our Wordfeud Cheat - Advanced Guide
Basic Usage
- Enter Your Letters: Type all the letters from your rack (e.g., "RETAINS")
- Use ? for Blanks: Replace any blank tiles with ? (e.g., "RETAIN?")
- Click Find Words: Get all possible words sorted by score
Advanced Pattern Matching
Click the gear icon to reveal powerful filtering options:
Board Pattern Examples:
- H_LL_ - Finds 5-letter words with H as first letter, L in positions 3 & 4
Results: HELLO, HALLS, HILLS, etc. (if you have the required letters)
- __A__ - Finds 5-letter words with A in the middle
Results: BEACH, PEACE, TRADE, etc. (if you have the required letters)
- B___D - Finds 5-letter words starting with B, ending with D
Results: BOARD, BRAND, BREAD, etc. (if you have the required letters)
Filter Examples:
Important: Filters show ALL words that can be made from your letters AND match the filter!
- Starts With "QU": With letters "QUICKEN", shows: QUICK, QUINE, QUI (NOT NECK)
- Contains "PP": With letters "APPLESM", shows: APPLE, APPLES, APPS, but not LAPSE
- Ends With "ING": With letters "PLAYING", shows: PLAYING, LAYING, PAYING (all end with ING), not PLAY, etc
- No Results? The filter requires letters you don't have in the right combination!
Sorting Your Results:
After finding words, use the sorting buttons to organize them:
- A→Z / Z→A: Sort alphabetically (forward or reverse)
- Points ↑ / Points ↓: Sort by Wordfeud score (ascending or descending)
- Jump to Length: Click any number to jump to words of that length
- Default Sort: By length (longest first), then by score within each length
Understanding Bonus Squares & Real Scores
Wordfeud Bonus Multipliers:
- DL (Double Letter): Doubles the value of the letter placed on it
- TL (Triple Letter): Triples the value of the letter placed on it
- DW (Double Word): Doubles the entire word score
- TW (Triple Word): Triples the entire word score
Example Score Calculations:
Word: QUEEN (Base score: 14 points)
- Q(10) + U(2) + E(1) + E(1) + N(1) = 15 base points
- With Q on TL: (10×3) + 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 35 points
- With word on DW: 15 × 2 = 30 points
- With Q on TL AND word on DW: 35 × 2 = 70 points!
