About Word Blitz
Word Blitz is a fast-paced multiplayer word game created by Lotum GmbH,
the same developers behind 4 Pics 1 Word. You compete against friends or random opponents on a 4x4 or 5x5 grid of letters. Each game consists of 3 rounds with 20 seconds per round. Swipe across adjacent letters to form valid English words, and the player with the highest total score across all rounds wins!
Game Rules
- Time Limit: 20 seconds per round, 3 rounds per game
- Minimum Word Length: 3 letters
- Letter Connection: Letters must be adjacent (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally)
- No Reuse: Each letter can only be used once per word
- No Repeats: Each word can only be submitted once per round
- No Penalty: Wrong guesses don't cost points - guess freely!
Fire Mechanic (Score Multiplier)
Achieving "Fire" mode is the key to winning Word Blitz. When you find a 6-letter word, you activate Fire mode which doubles your score for the next 15 seconds. Fire mode refreshes with every 6-letter word, so maintaining it throughout the round is essential for high scores.
Winning Strategies
- Use the Sneak Peek: Study the grid during the preview before each round starts
- Activate Fire Fast: Find a 6-letter word within the first few seconds to maximize your 2x multiplier time
- Maintain Fire: Keep finding 6+ letter words to refresh the multiplier throughout the round
- Guess Freely: There's no penalty for wrong words, so try any word you think might be valid
- Focus on Length: Longer words score more points, especially when Fire mode is active
